Scope of
Works

Orbit are one of the UKs largest builders of affordable housing with over 45,000 homes located across the Midlands, the East and South East of the UK.

Hankinson secured the Orbit redecoration contract in 2015 following a competitive tendering exercise. The scope of works on this contract is predominantly external repairs and decorations to tenanted properties including blocks of flats, apartments, bungalows, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom family properties, as well as sheltered schemes. The work also includes the washdown of uPVC components such as fascias, soffits and rain water goods.

We deliver these cyclical redecoration works to approximately 1500 properties per annum on behalf of Orbit.

Orbit have a number of Grade II listed and historical buildings within their property portfolio which we have delivered cyclical redecoration works to these properties also. A recent example of this was Malt Mill Lane, Alcester Warwickshire which was built in the 1500s, the green rendered building is Grade II listed. We delivered these works on time and within budget. These buildings remained occupied throughout the duration of the works, we had a full time Resident Liaison Officer to manage communications.

"During the last year of communication between myself and Hankinson, their has been an increase in how well they are known in Orbit (externally and internally). Due to their commitments and project work, Hankinson have been seen to take a step forward with Orbit in the right direction and have helped encourage other suppliers within our chain to follow suit. Not only has this been noted by partners, peers and staff but by the general public as well.

Hankinsons journey with myself has been brilliant as they are always keen to keep pushing and thriving for the best. I look forward to working with them in over the next few years to develop other projects that will really showcase their commitment and determination to helping improve communities for the better."
