    We’re looking for a Skills & Compliance Coordinator to join our team. If you enjoy keeping things organised, supporting people to develop, and making sure training and compliance stay on track, this could be a great fit!

    Hankinson Whittle is a growing national property maintenance company with 7 regional offices and more than 120 colleagues across the UK. Our teams deliver refurbishment, cyclical maintenance and planned works projects for clients nationwide. Behind every project is a strong support team keeping the business running smoothly, and this role is a key part of that.

     

    Location: Prenton, Wirral (Hybrid)

    ⏰ 20–25 hours per week, spread across Monday–Friday (potential flexibility on start / finish times)

    🏡 Hybrid working up to 2 days from home (after probation)

     

    The Role

    You’ll be helping to coordinate training and compliance activity across the business, supporting teams and making sure records and processes stay up to date.

     

    Your day-to-day might include:

    📊 Managing the company training matrix

    📋 Supporting audits and complete desktop reviews

    🤝 Working with colleagues across the business to track training needs

    📁 Updating employee records and internal systems such as SharePoint

    📈 Maintaining spreadsheets and tracking key information, KPIs, etc.

    What we’re looking for:

     

    We’re keen to hear from someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable coordinating processes in a busy environment. Exposure in HR, training, compliance or administration would be helpful. Experience with BrightHR is advantageous.

     

    You’ll also bring:

    Hankinson Whittle is a dynamic and growing property services company operating nationally from five offices. With over 150 dedicated employees, we deliver cyclical and planned maintenance, as well as refurbishment works, across a wide portfolio of commercial and government-funded clients.

    The Opportunity

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Contracts Manager/Senior Contracts Manager to join our East Midlands team. This role will oversee refurbishment contracts including kitchen, bathroom, and roofline projects with significant contract values. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of contract management, from initial enquiry through to successful completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct surveys of properties and structures to assess maintenance and refurbishment requirements.

    • Evaluate projects, estimating costs, labour, materials, and time for completion.

    • Prepare and submit well-presented, competitive tender packages.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional levels of service and satisfaction.

    • Produce risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all health and safety procedures are fully adhered to.

    • Manage contracts from inception to completion, achieving productivity, quality, and safety targets.

    • Control project costs and budgets to deliver planned financial outcomes.

    • Lead, support, and manage site-based operatives to ensure successful project delivery.

    About You

    You will be an experienced Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Manager with a proven track record in managing refurbishment projects within the social housing sector.

    Requirements:

    • Significant experience managing refurbishment contracts (kitchens, bathrooms, and roofline works).

    • Experience working within the social housing sector.

    • Excellent understanding of health and safety standards and contract management processes.

    • Strong organisational and commercial skills.

    • Full UK driving licence.
