Drews Park, once a psychiatric hospital which was decommissioned in 1995 and then converted into private and social residences, however, the stunning architecture of the building remained, with the principal building constructed of stone from the Murhill quarry.
In 2022, 148 of Aster properties at Drews Park required external repairs and redecoration and after a competitive tender process Hankinson was awarded the 24-week contract.
The site forms several courtyards and interesting shaped layouts.
The Aster Group chose Hankinson for our reputation of ensuring that we can develop and deliver decoration projects which maintain the aesthetic and physical integrity of properties with architecture such as this, with works including:
-
Repair and redecoration of the existing doors and windows to the houses, flats and communal areas of the site
-
Pre-paint repairs and re-decoration of all fascia’s and soffits to the building, including a the painted timber features to the main building and Clock Tower.
