About the
Project
Acting as Principal Contractor, Hankinson Protective Coatings team have been working on behalf of Northumberland County Council on the Whiteadder Bridge scheme. The existing bridge is a five span structure that carries the B6461 over Whiteadder Water. The bridge carries a 6.62m carriageway, a 1.65m wide footway and a 0.497m hardened verge.
Erection of scaffold/encapsulation to allow corrosion protection of ferrous materials by industrial coatings to existing structural steelwork.
Abrasive blasting via an SA2.5 standard followed by the application of the Highways approved Type I(M) 4-Coat paint system to approximately 2800m2 of steelwork.
